Storm Talk: Human Dignity
Gespräch
Sturmgespräch (“Storm Talk”) on Human Dignity on Sunday, September 14, at 11AM
A lawyer and a philosopher engage in conversation with the audience about human dignity – a concept that shapes our identity and yet is beginning to erode. What does human dignity mean today? And what is at stake?
When fishermen on the Fischland-Darß peninsula couldn’t go out to sea due to storms, they stayed on land and sought conversation. In this tradition, the Neues Kunsthaus Ahrenshoop regularly invites you to the STURMGESPRÄCH – an open format for reflection in times of inner and outer upheaval. This edition focuses on human dignity – a core concept of our societal identity. Human dignity is the anchor of our Basic Law – and it is in danger of losing its hold. What does dignity mean today in law, ethics, and everyday life? And what do we risk when we no longer live it together?
These questions will be discussed by lawyer Reinhard Stuth (Chairman of Künstlerhaus Ahrenshoop e.V.) and philosopher Dr. Asmus Trautsch, together with the audience.
